Alpha Home was proud to be a sponsor at the first San Antonio Substance Use Symposium 2018: Focus on Opioids (SASUS) at UT Health San Antonio held last week.
SASUS represents a unique opportunity to bring together health care providers and community members to collaboratively identify opioid challenges and solutions to this public health crisis.
The symposium included presentations and community discussions about topics such as best practices for opioid treatment recovery members from organizations Alpha Home, San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Rise Recovery and UT Health San Antonio.
Leo Beletsky, presenting speaker from Professor of Law and Health Sciences at Northeastern University, spoke about the Treatment Gap: Policy, Politics and Patient Care.
