Alpha Home is excited to announce Dallas Cowboys Legend, Thomas “Hollywood” Henderson as the keynote speaker at its upcoming 13th Annual Doorways of Hope luncheon. The event is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at the Witte Museum(3801 Broadway) at 11:30 a.m.
The former NFL Superbowl star will share his powerful story at the luncheon, also offering copies of his book “In Control: The Rebirth of an NFL Legend”, photos and autographs for our VIP attendees, all with the purpose of supporting Alpha Home!
Dallas Cowboy and NFL Superbowl champion “Hollywood” Henderson will recall the day he considered taking his own life, after Cowboys Coach Tom Landry fired him from the Cowboys. Hollywood says another low point was being forced to sell his diamond-studded Superbowl ring for bail money and then going to jail as a broken man.
Like Thomas, many of us are touched in some way by substance abuse. Over 72,000 lives* were lost last year in the US, and the figures continue to rise. It is an equal opportunity disease.
