This September, Alpha Home joined with community partners throughout San Antonio and Texas to raise awareness about addiction, and more importantly, the power of recovery. For the first time, Alpha Home hosted a month-long celebration. We enjoyed many partnerships with businesses who helped support Alpha Home’s mission in a new ways including, The Pearl, The Bottling Department, Tenko Ramen, Maybelle’s, Good Kind, Bud’s Rotisserie, Fletcher’s Hamburgers, The Bar at the Food Hall, Bakery Lorraine, Mobile Om, Panda Express, JoyRide and Pinot’s Palette–Alamo Heights.
We truly feel blessed for these new friendships from the businesses, but also from new friends in the community. Addiction is a funny issue, in that so much shame and judgment surrounds it. We know when people have the opportunity to ask for and receive help without judgment, they have a better shot at living a sober life.
Thank you San Antonio for helping us raise awareness on an issue that impacts so many. Together, we can make our community more healthy and HAPPY!
